Promo codes are a simple way to reward early buyers, run limited offers and drive more ticket sales. This guide walks you through creating and setting up a discount code for your event.
Step 1 — Go to the Discount Codes section #
1. Log in to your organiser account.
2. From your Dashboard, go to the left-hand menu.
3. Under Marketing, select Discount Codes.
4. Click Create Discount Code at the top.
This is where you create and manage discount offers for your event tickets.
Step 2 — Choose the event and ticket #
- Under Event, select the event the discount applies to.
- Under Ticket, choose which ticket type or types the discount should apply to.
Step 3 — Enter the discount details #
Complete the required fields:
- Code Name — the short code attendees will enter, for example EARLYBIRD20.
- Code Description — a short note for your own reference, such as “20% off for the first 50 buyers”.
- Discount Type — choose Percentage (for example, 20% off) or Amount (a fixed sum off).
- Discount Value — enter the number, for example 20 for a percentage or 10 for an amount.
Step 4 — Set usage limits #
Under Discount, choose how many times the code can be used:
- Unlimited — anyone can use it, any number of times.
- Limited — set a maximum number of uses in the Discount Limit field, for example 50.
Step 5 — Set the validity dates #
Choose a start and end date and time for when the code is active. For example, you might make it valid only for the three days before your event.
Step 6 — Save your discount #
Click Save to activate the code, or Discard to start over. Once saved, your code is active and ready to share. Add it to your event emails, social posts and flyers to attract more attendees and reward early buyers.
