When you send an email campaign on TicketShack, you choose your recipients using audience tags. Knowing what each tag means helps you send the right message to the right people. This guide explains them.
The audience tags #
- Followers — people who have chosen to follow your organiser profile on TicketShack to keep up with your events.
- All Past Event Goers — everyone who has bought a ticket to one of your previous events. This is your warmest audience, since they’ve already attended something of yours.
- All Imported Contacts — contacts you’ve added yourself by importing them into TicketShack, rather than people who found you through the platform.
- Custom lists — any audience lists you’ve created yourself, which appear alongside the tags above.
How they work together #
When you select more than one tag, your recipients are the combined unique contacts across the tags you pick. TicketShack automatically removes duplicates, so if someone is both a follower and a past attendee, they’re only counted, and emailed, once.
Emailing your whole audience #
To reach everyone, simply select every tag. Because duplicates are removed, this gives you one clean list of all your unique contacts, with no one emailed twice.
Tip — Your past event goers are usually your most valuable audience for a new event, since they already know and trust what you put on.
